How I work, and why
I've spent more than a decade building software applications, designing systems that need to scale, and leading development teams. Along the way I've worked across the full stack — from database design and APIs to web and mobile interfaces, cloud infrastructure and, more recently, AI systems.
What I've learned is that most software problems are really business problems. A feature is late because the requirements were unclear. A system is slow because it was designed for a different stage of the company. An AI pilot stalls because nobody defined what “working” means. Good engineering starts with understanding those things.
Today I work with startup founders, entrepreneurs, SMEs and SaaS companies who need more than someone to write code. I help them decide what to build, design how it should work, build it properly, and keep improving it after launch. I use AI tools like Claude Code and Cursor every day to move faster — with the experience to know when their output needs a second look.

Philosophy
Principles I bring to every project

Understand before building
The most expensive code is code that solves the wrong problem. I ask a lot of questions early so we don't have to undo work later.

Simple beats clever
I prefer proven tools and straightforward designs. Software that's easy to understand is easier to change, hire for and hand over.
- 03
Honest about trade-offs
Every decision has a cost — in time, money or flexibility. You'll hear the options and my recommendation in plain language.

Own the outcome
My job isn't finished when the code compiles. It's finished when the software works for the people using it.
